The future of living begins with wood and a green philosophy open to the world RivaViva at Fuori Salone del Mobile 2022
The Milan Furniture Fair celebrates its 60th edition and celebrates the values at the heart of the event, starting with sustainability.
RivaViva, a historic Milanese brand that has always proposed design that is attentive to people’s health and the well-being of the planet, renews its quest for quality craftsmanship, beauty and innovation.
Starting with its certified wood furniture, made with totally “green” production processes, and a Home line that focuses on the interweaving of cultures, a lifestyle open to the world and solidarity.
The 60th edition of the Milan Furniture Fair will take place from June 7 to 12, an important milestone to be celebrated through the key values of the Event: starting with sustainability and the vocation to be a crossroads of cultures.
Two principles that have always inspired the research of RivaViva, the historic Brianza-based brand that has been making solid wood furniture since the 1920s with a passion for the “handmade“: each piece on display in the showroom in the heart of the Isola District is made with refined craftsmanship, attention to people’s health and commitment to the well-being of the Planet.
The wood used for each piece of furniture comes from controlled cultivation, the processing and finishing stages are marked by total respect for the environment, and fabrics and upholstery are 100 percent natural.
In short, a design that combines “beauty and sustainability.”
New this year is the proposal of a colorful Home line with KeChic, the Milanese social tailoring company that combines African creativity and Italian tailoring tradition: a home line symbolizing the meeting of different cultures and common passions.
The architect Cristina Riva, who in “Riva Viva” has been able to interweave her own ecological sensitivity, the artisan tradition of the family business and attention to design; homestylist Sonia Abbondi, capable of transforming the customer’s desires into shapes, materials and colors; and the mmagination and explosion of energy of the waxes sewn by KeChic, the tailoring created by Valeria Zanoni together with Cheick Diattara, a professional tailor at the Centre Handicapé in Dakar.
In the busy week of the Salone, RivaViva’s Milan showroom will also host the Presentation of the finalists of the “Timeless Wood 1st edition 2021-22” Competition dedicated to the design of furniture and accessories for the sleeping area, open to all second-year students of the Design Departments.
The most innovative designs and ideas for furniture solutions will be displayed.
Also on display will be tables “Pezzi Unici RivaViva” with Whact Design derived directly from the trunk of a tree: each board, each fragment of a tree worked on is unrepeatable, and bears imprinted in its grain the wind that twisted its branches, the mineral salts of the earth in which it deeply sank its roots, the light that impregnated its hard bark. A true spectacle of design and of. nature.
And at the Salone del Mobile, you can find us at PAD 4 Stand G05 in “Consorzio Vero Legno”
Rendezvous on Friday, June 10, from 6 p.m. onward, for an evening between Milan and Africa, where we will talk about projects, design, materials, textiles and more… in Isola, Via Porro Lambertenghi 18.
